Our students love to read music and take advantage of every opportunity they get to play xylophones during their music time. Sadly, however, they are not being exposed to a variety of timbres in the instruments they play. Contrabass Bars would allow my students to add depth to their performances, better recognize the contrast between high and low sounds, and give them a chance to learn more about the instruments in the Percussion family. By donating to our project, you would be helping my students improve their gross motor functions, music literacy, listening, pitch-identification and pitch-matching skills, rhythmic accuracy, and the sense of pride and self-confidence that is built while working with their peers to create beautiful music as an ensemble.
