The materials chosen are materials that will allow my students to work independently. Students with disabilities and trauma have a very difficult time being at school to begin with; adding in directives of working independently presents more difficulties. Students need something to motivate them and keep them interested. The tools and materials that have been picked will do just that! As a special education teacher I am not only teaching my students their core academic areas, I am also teaching them independence and work ethic. The OSMO Learning System will be a great stepping stone for my young learners to begin working independently and being successful at it.
