We need 21 seat sacks to place behind our chairs for easy accessibility to personal classroom supplies such as journals, workbooks, writing/math folders, and writing utensils. A part of Kindergarten is learning independence, accountability, and organization. The seat sacks will make it easy for the Kindergartners to access their materials, be responsible for keeping their own seat sack clean and organized, and hold them accountable if their materials are missing. My students deserve a place that they feel home and knowing where all of their materials are at all times. Also, tablets in our classroom would be incredibly beneficial for my students. Currently, the only technology we have in our classroom is our smartboard and chromebooks during technology once a week for 30 minutes. Tablets will give students practice with technology, increase engagement, and give them accessibility to many apps that are age appropriate for learning letters, building words, reading, and math games. These tablets will be used twice daily in our literacy and math centers. My students are enthusiastic about learning centers, but these tablets will higher active engagement in my classroom.
