My students are at the age where engagement in reading is important. I want my students to have comfortable seating spaces around the classroom in which they can engage in their stories. It will allow them to better choose convenient locations around the classroom in which to read at. Currently, my students sit on the hard floor or at their seats. Flexible/comfortable seating will allow my students to become more engaged in their books. My students work more independently and we have less distractions and disruptive behavior when given a choice of where they want to sit. This will create a more positive learning environment with more focus on their stories and the adventures in which they will take when reading.
