My second graders would go to the moon and back to help with classroom purchases, even offering snack money to help. While we do have a school supply list, we have been forced to cut down the amount of money that can be asked for parents to spend on supplies. The supplies we receive at the beginning of the year are very much appreciated, but just don't last the entire year. We have also been unable to ask for any cleaning supplies, and only 1 box of Kleenex from each student. Now that the 2017-2018 school year is coming to an end I am now able to reflect and see what I will need extra of next year. This is where this materials list has come from. My students deserve the best. They are so loving and eager to learn. I want them to be able to highlight and annotate all of the lessons they want. I want them to be able to blow their nose without having to go get tissue from the restroom. I want their desk and hands to be clean and as germ free as possible, especially during the terrible flu season. I want them to be able to create anchor charts to teach their own lesson to their peers. I want them to be able to use the computers to listen to stories with their own headphones. I want all of these things for my students and so much more, and with your help I hope we can achieve it!
