My goal is to create engaged & focused lovers of literature! The first step in this adventure is to create comfortable & cozy reading spaces for readers!! I want to create "book nooks" all around my room so that students can sit independently or in small groups to read or discuss what they are reading. I want to buy small rugs and lots of throw pillows so that students can curl up in corners. Even better will be comfy mats or small sofas. Many of my students are not readers at home, and some do not have easy access to books at home. I want to create an atmosphere of adventure and love for reading in my classroom!
