Being able to have full sets of various authors' books will allow my students to make connections across texts as well as find authors they will love for years to come! Being able to have many books from different authors will allow my students to conduct author studies as well as compare and contrast the various writing styles of different authors! Currently the majority of the books in my classroom library were gifted to me when I started teaching almost five years ago, or were handed down from previous classrooms. My students deserve brand new books to help fulfill and grow their love of reading.
