Think back to when you were in school. You were expected to sit still and be quiet. Gone are the days of that! When you walk into a Kindergarten classroom you will see children engaged in a variety of ways. Flexible seating will help my students stay engaged for longer periods of time! I want to bring to my students a variety of seating to help them be the best learner they can be! In my classroom, they need to be able to learn in the best way possible for them and that may mean that they don't sit at a typical table/desk. With flexible seating, it is student-selected tools to make them comfortable to move throughout the room to be successful. With funding, I will be able to offer more varieties of seating to make the students more comfortable options! I am asking for wobble cushions, balance balls, comfy floor seats, and several lap desks with storage.
