Hi, My name is Mrs. Johnston and while my 2nd grade students are busy learning all day, I'd love to provide flexible seating to give them the option to get comfy while still learning and engaging in lessons. This will help them stay focused and take charge of their learning while choosing a space in the classroom that works best for all types of learners. During independent work and reading times my students would be able to sit where they'd like, including: under their desks, on the carpet, and even using their clipboards to write away from their regular desk from time to time. My students would love more options for them to sit, without distractions, to work more comfortably and to their full potential! These calming pillows would be placed in our small class library so my students could sit or lay while diving into a new book! These pillows would also be allowed anywhere in the room during certain parts of the day to provide a fun and more comfortable learning space no matter what subject we're studying! I know my students would be excited to have more freedom to choose what they sit on! Most importantly, I think these pillows would help to reduce their restlessness when sitting still for long periods of time. I want my students to be comfortable while studying in all subjects, and I know having a variety of options for spaces around the room will help them focus and achieve their full potential in the classroom!
