My classroom is made up of preschoolers with significant developmental and physical disabilities, many of whom have autism or other sensory processing challenges. Some students are emergent communicators or have communication needs that require visual supports and adapted materials. Many are sensory-seeking or have heightened sensory sensitivities, which can affect how they engage with the environment. These amazing learners are working on self-regulation, developing communication skills, and building independence, developing foundational skills that set the stage for future learning and everyday life.

About my class
