Research has shown that movement and choice help keep children healthy and successful in school. This year, we are allowing our students to choose their seats/work spaces. We are looking for options to match each child's learning style. We hope to purchase 6 stools that students can use throughout the day. We currently have bean bag chairs, cushions, and exercise balls as seating options. Since we have started using flexible seating, we have seen an increase in participation and engagement, and the students are excited to come to class each day! We have also noticed that the children are becoming very good at identifying what helps them best learn - a great skill to have for a life time! One small change has made a big difference for our kids.
