I teach ELA in an inner city community school. My district is unable to provide each individual student with what they need to be the most successful. Parents are also unable to provide the educational supplies that would most benefit their children. When teachers aren't able to fund their own classroom, it gives us a heavy and guilty heart. Budget cuts for supplies are happening every year, requiring me to pay for more and more supplies for my students. I will not let my students not have pencils, notebooks, folders or other necessary supplies! With your help I can ensure my students have everything they need and my own children do as well.

About my class
