In order for students to love reading, they need the time and space to read. By putting engaging books in the hands of my students and providing a comfortable place for them to read, students will be excited about the reading experience. Often, students believe that reading only exists when teachers assign books. It is my hope that by building a classroom library with grade-level, high-interest books I will show students that reading should not be a chore that they need to complete but instead, an escape from everyday life. All it takes is one good book to develop a love for reading!

About my class
