Each resource will be used in a small group or 1:1 with students. These materials were chosen to target my student's areas of need. By helping them progress in their reading, this will spill over into every subject as reading is the foundation of the other subjects as well. Since I have a Special Education class, I have a myriad of learners and learning styles. Even though these students are in the 4th, 5th, or 6th grade, their present ability/academic levels are anywhere from 3+ year below their grade level. Finding materials that allows them to learn the content while hitting Common Core Standards while being accessible to them at THEIR level makes a huge difference on their attitude and effort in class!
