I teach freshmen, juniors, and seniors, all who come from diverse backgrounds and have individual relationships with reading. They are curious, kind, and intelligent young people who could absolutely benefit from reading stories that engage them, and with characters that relate to them. They are readers and writers. They are poets and speakers. My students are brave and creative, and every day I get to spend with them is a blessing.
