My students are hardworking, dedicated learners with identified, high incidence special needs. My students and I know that they can make strides towards mastering grade level objectives and we are in need of materials to help us do so! My students need a collection of interesting, leveled books to help them build their reading levels to better succeed in their grade level curriculum. Our school is a new charter elementary school in Louisiana with the goal of bringing a school that has traditionally been given a grade of F to a B in 3 years. My students face the challenges of poverty and community violence daily, but they are still eager to learn about the world around them. We need classroom books to interest and expand my students' reading skills.
