In my classroom, we learn through many ways. Many learning activities we do involve moving our bodies and using items students can touch and move around. The instant learning centers will provide multiple opportunities for children to explore different standards such as measurement, counting, and adding and subtracting. Students will help the teacher use the magnetic calendar pieces, Magnetic Writing Page, and the dice in a whole group lesson, and then reinforce their learning with activities with the dice again, at a small group station. The students in my class will use colorful and playful counters to gain number sense and big, bold ten frames at stations to master the concept of ten! The will explore numeracy standards with base ten blocks, dominoes, and counters, and begin learning coin values and coin recognition with magnetic and plastic coins. These skills are critical as they continue their education. The Carolina Multi-Section Storage and Neon book bins will help keep our classroom safe, organized, and clear bins give students easy access to materials! These young minds will master concepts and gain a deeper understanding of numbers and how to use them every day with these resources!
