The children in my two Prekindergarten classes come from diverse backgrounds. Many of them are also enrolled in Head Start. Our classroom is a place where the children feel safe and can take risks as they grow socially and academically. We play and work together in fun, yet challenging ways while learning in small groups with and without teachers; with partners; by ourselves; and in whole group. Every moment of our time together is intended to maximize each child's learning and development. Teachers and families establish relationships right from the start and are partners in their children's learning and well-being in school as well as outside of school. The children like coming to school and look forward to coming back again tomorrow!
