These TIME magazines will help my students strengthen their informational reading skills, which will help them with real world tasks. We will use them as part of our literacy stations and in class read alouds. By donating to my project, you will be giving my students access to a well written, exciting news magazine, geared toward their age level, that will allow them to learn about the world around them. When students are able to read about real world events, they gain relevant and meaningful knowledge. Creating text-to-world connections and a young age will instill a a desire to continue to be a lifelong learner.
