I am in need of Teachers Pay Teachers gift cards to utilize resources and activities that are relevant, grade-level appropriate and engaging for my mathematicians. Teachers Pay Teachers gathers teacher-created resources that can be used to supplement any curriculum. I have found excellent resources from Teachers Pay Teachers previously that have allowed me to break up our textbook content into engaging activities.
In a previous year I used a resource from Teachers Pay Teachers for solving equations and saw great success! The resource was a Clue- like the board game- activity in which students had to hunt through our library for different sets of problems. Once groups of students found a set of problems they worked together to solve them and verify the correct answer. With a correct answer found they would be sent in another direction to hunt for more problems! My students not only had a lot of fun searching our library for “clues” but they also had the opportunity to work together with their peers and collaborate to solve the problems.
I’ve also been able to buy word walls, mazes, card sorts and a variety of graphic organizers to enhance what we do in class. I’m hoping to continue to use resources from Teachers Pay Teachers to help support the more traditional learning that often comes with an algebra and geometry classroom.
