My class consists of 20 wonderful and curious children who come to school with a wide variety of needs. My school is a Title 1 school which means that more than 80% of the students receive free or reduced price lunch. Many demands have been placed on education lately and the expectations for kindergarten children is very high. It seems like kindergarten is the new first grade! We work hard every day on phonemic awareness, phonics, reading, math, science and social studies.

About my class
