After many years as a founding teacher of a Mandarin immersion program at a successful and established school, I am thrilled to be expanding a new Mandarin immersion program at Braddock Drive Elementary, a Title I school in LAUSD. We offer this language immersion program so that students can become bilingual, bicultural, and biliterate. As the school's founding first grade Mandarin immersion teacher, I am creating a Chinese language classroom from scratch. Experience has taught me that these are the materials that students need to thrive in a Mandarin classroom, and I am so excited to be able to provide these important supplies and equipment for our pioneering first grade Mandarin immersion students.
