Due to the flood in Lousiana, my entire classroom was flooded. Everything was destroyed including my listening library. I'm requesting Fiction/Nonfiction and Single Student Read-Alongs and a Ready-To-Go Listening Center. My students are just learning to read and listening libraries help them with this process tremendously. While students are listening to books, they are also following along in the book. This helps them hear what fluent reading sounds like and helps them remember new words better. This Listening Center will help my children develop a love of reading. I also am requesting At-Your-Seat Storage Sacks because of the lack of storage my students now have for their materials. Additional storage will make for a more efficient classroom.
