Can you be a successful 21st century learner without your iPad, laptop, and smart phone? Many of us would be unable to complete our daily tasks without accessing technology. Unfortunately, many of students at my school are in this exact predicament. Our student population faces a variety of obstacles caused by the extreme poverty many live in. 98% of students receive free or reduced price lunch. Children from several local homeless shelters find sanctuary within our school walls. Technological devices have become an essential component of the 21st century learner's life. From accessing textbooks to creating digital presentations, students need an electronic device for virtually every aspect of the school day. Complicating matters is the lack of available and functioning technology at our school. Our students need help achieving their goals. Receiving 2 iPads would go a long way towards making those goals and dreams a reality.
