"SAY YES!" is a catch phrase made by a very enthusiastic and hopeful student in my classroom. That statement is usually preceded by an extra-ordinary idea. One of the many goals in our 3rd-5th grade Special Ed classroom is use the student's ideas and creativity to navigate my teaching approach. My students are honest, kind, eager to please and accepting of each other. They require predictability yet are full of surprises. They ask never-ending questions, are excited to explore, and ready to discover their hidden talents!
