Orchard Elementary, which opened last Fall, is unlike any other school in our district/. Here "in the Orchard", we intentionally build our learning community of families, staff, and students. Believing that a child's education is more than academics, our focus is growing the whole child both academically and socially. Our mission statement reads: Growing Compassionate Hearts and Passionate Minds. This holds true in our busy kindergarten classroom as well. Here you will find children learning, caring, interacting, and resolving challenges brought forth by peers during daily Class Meetings. As we engage meaningfully in literacy, science, math, and social studies, our positive learning community is strengthened through music and movement in order to grow compassionate hearts and passionate minds!
