My students need access to the titles listed for Battle of the Books in classrooms and the library.
"Battle of the Books" is an amazing reading incentive program that encourages participation, teamwork, competition and reading! Students read from a list of 20 grade level books. A powerful experience for our students, they achieve if they read.
My students need the books like Tuesday’s ar the Castle, Henry Huggins,The sword in the Tree and other books listed for the 2018-2019 Battle of the Books so they can compete in the school wide Battle of the Books competition.
Our school has participated in the Battle of the Books for the past several years and it has become a student, teacher, and parent favorite. All students in grades 2-6 are encouraged to participate. Second grade students read individually from a list of 12 books and students in 3-6 read individually from a list of 20 books. Teams from each grade participated at the end of the year in a knowledge bowl, a lot like "Family Feud." The final competition is watched by the school. The teachers and students all need access to the books. We would like books in each classroom and the library to allow for each student to easily participate in the competition!
