We all face stressful situations. This year we are asked to provide a safe space for students to use during the school day in our classroom to help maintain self-control when confronted with stressful situations. Sometimes students just need a BREAK (Breathe, Reflect, Emotions, Access, and Know). This cozy corner will provide tools and coping mechanisms for my students. Some of the items that I have requested for my corner will be used for my students to write and reflect and respond to their feelings and emotions, others will be used for students to manipulate to divert their anger or other feelings, and others will be used to help create a warm and relaxing area for my students to regain their calmness.
