In the old world, my personal laptop could handle the slide shows and emails. That laptop had seen me through two undergraduate degrees and one graduate degree. It has had trouble catching up in this new virtual world. I spent the majority of my summer and winter breaks learning new technologies and forms of capturing my students attention in our technological climate. A new laptop could help my students further by fostering new creative and engaging activities. It would help to develop new and vital content for my students such as using iMovie to make video lectures and adding more direct and relevant subject matter on google classroom. Upon the students return to school, this new technology will help me captivate students in the classroom by pairing with my SmartBoard allowing me to move effortlessly around the classroom to aid in student participation while teaching simultaneously.
