The class rug will provide a designation in the classroom where students and I can come together as a classroom learning community. This area will provide opportunities for kindergarten students to personal and social development through collaborative conversations. The classroom rug serves as the heart of our classroom. The classroom rug is more than decoration, it's where everything happens from reading instruction to kinesthetic learning activities. The rug allows for whole group activities and instruction to take place where students can actively participate and engage in learning with their classroom peers. We will use the carpet to read various stories.
