I would love to be able to attend a GYTO conference this summer. I want to be able to learn from my fellow educators and have insightful conversations about ways that we can support one another. Collaboration is the key to all educators being able to grow. The best way to do that is to attend a conference, where there will be teachers from all over the country working together. I have been teaching for 3 years now in the states, and I taught for 3 years in South Korea. I am a lifelong learner who is constantly looking for new ways to educate myself. I have heard so many positive benefits to the GYTO conferences that I hope to be able to take my love of learning to become a better educator for my students. My students will benefit from my attending this conference because I will be gaining tools and resources that will help me become a better educator. The world of education is constantly changing and growing in order to better help students succeed. Me being able to attend a national conference, I will be able to learn those strategies to utilize in the classroom. At this conference, there will be workshops for ELA, math, science, and social studies, all of which are very important in the classroom. I am still a new teacher, and I hope to continue to grow and be a great teacher and this professional development will help me learn and grow as an educator and collaborator.
