My students love to explore text through non-fiction reading! I am requesting Scholastic News magazines so that my students can grow their love for reading through current events and topics exciting to them. My students love to read these magazines together and it creates discussions that go above and beyond. They are able to learn new vocabulary words, and find new information about topics in which they have never previously been exposed. These magazines excite them and they are always asking when we can do our next one! I enjoy watching my students grow stronger as readers and using text evidence to discuss current events around the world.
