Some books will be used as mentor texts to introduce a Math, Reading, Writing, Science and/or Social studies lesson. These books will then be transferred to the classroom library for student use. The rest of the books such as (Perros salvages a la hora de cenar, En alas del cóndor, etc.) will be immediately available for student use so they can enjoy any time. With these books, my students will have access to some of the best books available in Spanish! I selected books such as TIME FOR KIDS and other informational books that can be used to bridge lessons from English to Spanish since Science and Social Studies are taught in English in my classroom. I also selected books with varied reading levels to meet my current students' needs as the year progresses.
