About my class

What a different classroom it will be with these materials! All the materials requested would be great additions to my lessons for visual and hands-on activities.In every unit I teach I think to myself "I could really use" a class set of dry erase boards or dictionaries. It's difficult to teach about Rocks and Minerals without actual rocks and minerals and magnifying glasses for them to use. Or weight and measurement without a scale. The wonderful list of books would extend my Social Studies unit into personal experiences with the topics discussed and learning is all about connections. The cozy chairs will make my students feel and home and more comfortable for reading a good book! A class set of dictionaries would be amazing! I teach students how to use a dictionary and they do weekly dictionary work, I matching set will help students stay on track by being able to follow along with page numbers and help each other during our "word search" activities. Chair bands would be a great addition for my students with the wiggles. This will allow my "movers" to be able to keep working while getting their wiggles out! The squeeze balls will also help these students who need to fidget while working. The plant viewer and pots will make a wonder addition to my earth Science unit, they students will get to see what is happening under the soil while they grow their own plants with my already purchased grow light. These plants will be a wonderful Mother's Day gift in the spring, one they grew themselves! Magnifying glasses and rock set will allow the students to get up close and personal with studying rocks and minerals for Science.
