One area that my students struggle with is sitting still. I strongly believe that giving them flexible seating will allow them to learn in the way that best suits them. If they aren't comfortable I don't believe that they are learning and processing at their true potential. In my cart, I have included wobble seats, for the kids who need a little wiggle time while working. Another way I plan to get them moving more is by adding soft seats and clipboards in the classroom so that the students are able to sit in other places besides their desk. I believe that by adding flexible seating in my classroom my students will be able to move more freely while maintaining a healthy relationship with their minds. If they are able to make decisions on how they learn best, I feel that they will be able to make clearer decisions in the future.
