My general music classroom is large and houses anywhere from 400-500 Kinder-3rd grade students a week. With plenty of space for the kids to move and create music, I am working to fill that empty classroom with basic instruments and musical materials the kids can use daily to enhance their musical experience. My school is an urban Title 1 school with 100% free/reduced lunch. We work hard to take care of our kiddos and to let them know they are loved. I would like to create a space that is inviting, encouraging, accepting and supplementing what students are learning in their homerooms and across various disciplines. My kiddos don't get many opportunities outside of my classroom to connect music with culture, history, social studies, art, or PE. I welcome and invite you to help John F. Kennedy's kiddos to experience music and build a passion for lifelong learning.
