A variety of reading choices helps students explore and learn about all things. Giving students access to many genres expands their knowledge. It is a known fact that reading just twenty minutes a day increases students vocabulary, builds empathy toward others, and can help benefit mental and physical health. Letting students borrow books for home use helps them increase the time they spend reading. Also, lending students books builds character by being responsible in returning them. This project will give students a chance to build on reading skills they already have. By restocking the shelves, the students will have replacements for the books that were water-damaged during the February winter storm in Texas from a busted water pipe.
