My school uses block scheduling, consisting of four nearly 90-minute class periods. For the most part, students are sitting for long periods of time. They become restless, or fall asleep. Many of my students have jobs outside of school or are responsible for taking care of younger siblings at home, so they are often tired. I try to get my students up and moving as much as possible, but sometimes it’s just not enough. We need lounge chairs, barstools, stability balls, and high tables. Your generous donation will allow students to be more comfortable, productive and engaged. Flexible seating provides students with choices and allows them to collaborate in different ways. Having to share the different seating options will also encourage a sense of community.
