We are switching to Block scheduling next year and do not have the money at our school to create a collaborative style setting. The drawers will be used to store supplies, desk blockers, and files for homework. The set up will allow students to work in groups and have all their supplies readily available. I am excited to utilize a new classroom setting to create group work and a new learning style in my classroom. The white boards will come in very hand for classroom work. They can us them to hold up answers in class or work with a partner to solve complex algebra 2 and calculus problems. In mathematics, I really emphasize showing all of the important steps. In this new setting, group work will be a daily event and they will be able to engage in discovery learning.
