Switching from traditional desks and chairs to flexible seating options will improve student learning by offering choices for my students, allowing freedom of movement, and providing a relaxed and comfortable learning environment. Students learn in a variety of ways, and I want our classroom to provide alternative seating that allows the students to choose what makes them the most comfortable and free to succeed. Many of my students already opt to stand versus sitting in the traditional chairs provided to them. I am hoping to create safe and fun environment of learning where every student can make an independent choice.
