The items that I am requesting for my classroom will assist my students in being comfortable in an area of our classroom where an enormous amount of learning will take place. From morning meetings, calendar activities, learning the B's: Be respectful. Be responsible. Be safe. Be Scholarly; to read alouds and writing lessons. The carpet will allow the students to sit on a nice cushioned surface instead of the cold, bare floor. The easel will hold books at a level where each child can see. The easel will also be used for students to help with writing the morning message or learning to write letters, their name, and eventually, sentences. The easel is also magnetic so students can use magnetic letters to make words!
