These materials will make a world of difference for my students. They are all things that the students will be able to utilize more independently. The pocket charts will help my students in their development in reading as well as math. In reading, they will be able to utilize sentence stems and see visuals for what they should add to the sentence. Visuals and manipulative are crucial for a student with Autism. This provides a hands-on motivator for students to grow their language development and reading abilities. The pocket charts will also benefit students in math. They will allow them to get clear visuals of number lines and develop a clear understanding of the concepts "more" and "less." The Reusable write and wipe pockets will allow my students to get the consistent practice of letter formation and number formation without wasting all of the paper! The craft trays will allow students to work at a spot in the room that is comfortable for them. Lastly, the hear myself speak phone will allow students to more clearly hear the letter sounds that they are producing compared to what they are asked to produce. This will allow them to hear and make corrections independently as opposed to being asked to by a teacher. This is so important for students with speech impairments to hear clearly what they are saying. This would be an amazing tool for my students to utilize. The materials I requested will really take my students learning to the next level in reading, math, and language fluency! Some of my students were personally affected by Hurricane Harvey. There has been a great effort in the community to pull together and get kids and families everything they need to maximize learning.
