Teaching first grade requires teaching little ones many things including organizational skills. When using tables to work on, we don't have storage for them to put their things. Having chair pockets would be a major help to get them organized and to stay organized. Most kids just want to shove everything in a desk, but without having desks, these would be perfect to hold all of their supplies. We will put folders, binders, and other items they need in it and organize it all. We will need to have the tables clean to work on our many projects. Having 3D geometric shapes for each student will be very helpful in understanding. It is very hard for kids to visualize these shapes, so having manipulatives are essential to mastering this skill.
