Flexible seating within the classroom encourages students to share space and supplies. This unique seating also allows students to find comfortable positions throughout the classroom. Students who may have difficulties paying attention and focusing will greatly benefit from being able to bounce while learning rather than sitting in a plain hard chair. Statistics have shown that students are able to focus more intently when actively balancing their body on a balance ball. I have used these ball seats during my student teaching placement in the past and I really hope to purchase these to start flexible seating within my 4th grade classroom.
