We are a new high school and are trying to provide opportunities for our students to participate in after-school athletics. We have an aging outdoor basketball court, but lack the necessary equipment to practice. This team will provide opportunities for our students to work on character skills and be some place safe after school. New equipment will create pride and ownership for our students. They desperately want to play basketball. They want to belong to something greater than just their neighborhood. They want to positively represent their school and peers. Team athletics are an extension of what we are teaching in the classroom. That attitude, commitment, and hard work pay off. The equipment listed will give us basketballs to practice, nets for our outdoor hoops, and shoe bags for our athletes when they travel to games. The scoreboard is needed for the games that we host and can be used for our soccer season as well.
