My students learn math best when it is hands-on, made concrete, and visual. There are many ways my students benefit from playing games like dice, cards, and board games. These games grow their mathematical thinking and are very motivating. They now identify numbers and count with confidence since we have started playing simple math games on "Fun Friday" every week! These students have not been in a classroom since they were in kindergarten, so when they get the chance to "play" their engagement and focus are improved. I wish everyone can see their excitement when they know they have a new game to try!
