Our school has done great work in creating community events, family nights, and parent involvement opportunities. What we do not have is good advertising. We would love a Cricut to help us build posters in Spanish and in English for our upcoming events, programs, and meetings. We have a lot of families that run food trucks as their business that came to our Fall Festival last year that brought in the community. Our festivals booths, however, were lacking as we do not have materials for engaging and creative posters and signage. We run adult English Language classes during the school day but do not have large signs to advertise to parents as they drop off and pick up their students. The principal, who is bilingual, has coffee and conversation with parents, but again it is not advertised except by a newsletter that can get lost or buried in student backpacks. We would love to be more creative and colorful in outreach to our parents and community by utilizing the design and cutting mechanisms of a Cricut machine. We welcome all parents and community into our school and believe that a strong community builds a strong school, even in economically disadvantaged areas. Help our school build outreach and a positive school climate!
