Our school library space is a place that our students really enjoy. I read on the carpet to them, they learn library skills, borrow books, and read independently! The BEST way to increase reading ability is to read more, and providing safe space in the library to relax and read will help foster a love of reading AND inspire students and families to create their own cozy reading spaces in their homes. We have a few spaces designed for small independent reading but being able to spread out more will be necessary. Having extra seating tools will be a great help! With the comforting colors Reading Pillows, students can learn how to engage in personal reading safely in school spaces and to be encouraged to find spaces in their homes where they can enjoy library books.
