Most of the students I teach are 9th and 10th graders from diverse back grounds. Some students are ESOL, ESE, exchange students, economically challenged, etc... As with most high school students, some struggle with many outside factors and school becomes less important. Finding ways to motivate them becomes very difficult, so implementing as many interesting, hand-on projects as possible is a constant goal.
