Technology has been found to a beneficial way to personalize the learning of all students. As we all know, not any one student comes to school with the same skill set. As an elementary educator it is important to meet every students needs and help them to make proficient progress throughout the year, even though the ability levels are all so different! One way teachers can help students to achieve this goal is to offer differentiated instruction through the use of technology. Personalized Learning has become the wave of the future. In order to help all students become successful, as well as make adequate academic progress, technology (Chromebooks) is an amazing resource that can help students to meet these academic goals. The many different programs offered help to differentiate instruction and provide students with material that helps to build a strong foundation and a better understanding of the material at their current level of understanding. There are many fantastic programs that begin with initial assessments in all content areas. These assessments determine the current grade level of the students and they are able to generate lessons appropriate to their current level of understanding. Whole class lessons are first and foremost the most important avenue when teaching our young children, however, additional practice through the use of technology helps all students to reach their highest level of understanding. Differentiating instruction through the use of technology is a very powerful tool and has proven to have a high success rate in regards to academic progress.
